Dirty Album is the fourth studio album by Hatsune Miku. It was released on May 9th, 2021 under her pseudonym, Mashiitake Muun.

Hatsune Miku has stated that the idea behind the album was "to create an album that misleads you into thinking it's inappropriate, but actually has the cleanest songs imaginable".

Songs

Dirty Album consists of 10 songs, all written and performed by Hatsune Miku.

To Wipe

On their first day of work, a cleaner is indoctrinated into a cleaning cult, with no way out.

I'm Sweeping (Please Leave)

A disgruntled high-school janitor tries to do his job, but is frequently interrupted by students playing inside the buildings, undoing all of his hard work.

Clean Window

A cleaner who is bored of their job sees the world outside the window, and begins to wonder what they're missing out on.

You Ain't Nothin' (But A Vacuum Cleaner)

An ignorant man complains to his housekeeper that they aren't cleaning properly. "Vacuum cleaner" has an alternate meaning here, being to clean a vacuum of empty space; trying to clean something that's not there... an impossible task.

Clearly

A housekeeper and a janitor walk into a bar. They have a rap battle.

Not On The Carpet

A housekeeper insists that nobody touches the carpet after cleaning it. The message is that, if nobody is to touch the carpet, there would be no point in having the carpet.

Brush and Shovel

A touching story about a young boy who doesn't know how to clean, until he finds a dustpan and broom in a closet. He dreams of growing up to be a janitor who is highly-praised for their work.

Just A Maid

A loyal and dedicated maid struggles with finding employment after the innovation of household cleaning robots.

Asthma Attack (Drowned in Dust)

An old man attempts to dust his century-old bookshelves, but the dust mistakenly enters his lungs, leading to a fatal asthma attack.

The Shroud / Windy Day

A billionaire family watches in horror as their once-beautiful gardens are turned upside-down from windy weather. A reminder that, no matter how much you clean, you will always need to clean again in the future.
